Emerging Leaders Program

The AWHONN Emerging Leaders Program (ELP) fosters development of a broader and more diverse cadre of future AWHONN volunteer leaders.

Launched in 2007, ELP engages a diverse group of AWHONN members in a year-long leadership training and development program. Activities include guidance from mentors, multiple continuing education opportunities, AWHONN committee assignments, and other skills development sessions, including webinars to build leadership competencies and confidence.

The program places special emphasis on fostering diversity—in age, race and gender—among leadership prospects.

Applications for the 2011 program will be available August 2010.
