What is AWHONN?

What's AWHONN's mission?

    AWHONN's mission is to improve and promote the health of women and newborns and to strengthen the nursing profession through the delivery of superior advocacy, research, education and other professional and clinical resources to nurses and other health care professionals.

What does the convention registration include?

    Registration includes admittance to all the educational sessions, the Expo hall, and unticketed special events.  Plus, it includes all of the convention materials, as well as lunch.

What's the dress code?

    The convention does not have a specific dress code; however, we do recommend that attendees dress in appropriate business or business casual attire.  We also recommend wearing comfortable shoes.

Where do attendees pick-up their badge and convention materials?

    Attendees can pick-up their badge and convention materials at the registration counter.

Do attendees have to bring anything to the convention?

    We recommend attendees bring a notebook and a pen/pencil in order to take notes during the sessions.

Where can attendees network with their peers?

    The convention will have several networking events throughout the 4 days where attendees will be able to see old friends and meet new ones, including the Expo Hall Opening Reception, Membership Breakfast, and other special events.

Will lunch be provided?

    Lunch will be provided at the Expo hall on Monday and Tuesday. 

Who can earn Contact Hours?

    Nurses who attend the session(s) for which they wish to receive CNE credit in their entirety.  No partial credit may be awarded.

How do attendees apply for Contact Hours?

    Log-in to convention website during or after the convention at your home, hotel, or office to complete the CNE process.  Attendees must complete an evaluation for each session for which they are applying for CNE credit, as well as for the overall convention.

    Upon completion of the required evaluations, attendees will be able to print their transcript and certificate.
