QUESTION: What does the acronym "AWHONN" stand for?

ANSWER: AWHONN stands for The Association of Women's Health, Obstetric, and Neonatal Nurses. AWHONN serves the unique needs of nurses specializing in the care of women and newborns. Members include neonatal nurses, APRNs, women's health nurses, OB/GYN and labor and delivery nurses, nurse scientists, childbirth educators and nurse practitioners.

Specialized CNE programs, publications, practice resources and public policy efforts empower AWHONN members to succeed as nursing professionals and to provide superior health care to their patients. Visit About Us and the Member Center to learn more and join.

ANSWER: Yes. Visit our Join/Renew page now. If you prefer to submit a new member application by mail, download the membership application (PDF).

QUESTION: When does my membership expire?
ANSWER: Membership lasts twelve (12) months. You will be prompted (on the web) to renew approximately ninety (90) days prior to the expiration date.
