Welcome to the AWHONN South Dakota Section Website

 

Dear AWHONN member,

SD AWHONN Section received a $3000 grant to help fund a conference in 2010, because education is part of the mission of AWHONN.  We have a tentative location, Storm Mountain Center in Western SD and dates of April-May.  Storm Mountain Center is a rustic venue and provides an opportunity for hiking and outdoor activities.  Some attendees might enjoy bringing their family and staying in the cabins.  For more information about the location, please visit www.dakcamps.org.
We have not had a conference for many years, so we want to determine interest and needs among the AWHONN members.

We attended the Leadership Conference in January 2009 and learned:

  • how the national organization can support our efforts to hold a SD Section conference in 2010.
  • ways to communicate with section members.
  • about legislative priorities supported by AWHONN.
