Hello Iowa AWHONN Members! I hope everyone across the state is enjoying the winter months. I am super excited about the new AWHONN website! A HUGE thank you to AWHONN National for this new site! I hope this is a way we can engage, discuss and share. I am excited to share that Spencer Hospital is currently in the middle of building a new OB unit! We will have the same number of LDRPs we are just moving to have immediate access into an OR. We were planning on adding an OR suite to the current OB however in doing the planning and adding the dollars up it was actually decided to move the OB unit to be near the OR!! More bit of news from NW Iowa is that we will soon begin offering nitrous oxide as a pain management option for our moms!
