Please join us at 3:00pm EDT on Monday, June 27th for a live webinar about the new Section Advisory Committee and how it relates to you as an elected or appointed volunteer leader. This 12-person committee oversees four new regions and 12 new districts that encompass all 51 sections.  AWHONN has created this standing committee to help facilitate better communications, sharing of resources, and increase membership.  Over the next three years this committee will be responsible for implementing a number of programs and shaping new policies as they relate to Sections and Chapters.  With this new layer of communication also comes an increased desire to engage our leaders and lean on their expertise to help ensure the success of this program.

The hour-long webinar will be presented by myself and Deb Castile, the Chair of the Section Advisory Committee.  You will learn about how the districts and regions are comprised; who your district SAC rep is; and we’ll discuss the nine areas of focus that the SAC is working in the short- and long-term futures. The webinar will be recorded and archived on the Section Leadership page of the website for those who cannot attend.  For those of you attending convention and would like to meet members of the Section Advisory Committee or hear more about the committee and its work, please join us on Monday, June 13 from noon until 12:45 at the back of the AWHONN Expo Hall (there will be reserved tables).
