Summary of Program:
The concept for the Early Labor Lounge was developed as a way to educate patients and their support people in coping techniques while they awaiting onset of true labor. A goal of the ELL was to decrease the NTSV. A nurse midwife and two of our triage nurses will present the project and research findings and answer questions.

1.5 ANCC nursing contact hours awarded for attendance at the presentation and return of evaluation.

The planning committee and presenters have disclosed no financial or other relationship which may have influenced the content of this program. South Shore Hospital Clinical Professional Development Department is accredited as a provider of continuing nursing education by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.
