Jennifer Doyle, RN, MSN, WHNP-BC
Jennifer Doyle, MSN, WHNP-BC, is the APN for Women's Services at Summa Health in Akron, Ohio. She has been a RN for over 20 years, working NICU initially but spending the majority of career specializing in intrapartum care. Her education includes a BSN from Kent State University and MSN from University of Louisville.
A former AWHONN Chapter Leader, she spent eight years as an elected AWHONN Ohio Section leader; Section Secretary-Treasurer and Chair. She is currently serving a second term on the AWHONN Executive BOD. During her tenure, she has been honored to Chair the Public Policy Committee where she assisted in developing several AWHONN position statements.
Through participation in AWHONN's Emerging Leader Selection Committee, Awards Task Force, and Section Initiatives Advisory Panel, she is continually inspired and amazed by works of fellow AWHONN members.
Jennifer's work is not limited to AWHONN nationally, as she remains heavily involved in clinical care and projects. She was the recipient of an AWHONN Research Award in 2015 for her project "A Standardized Postpartum Oxytocin Protocol to Prevent PPH". Actively involved in her state, she participates in the Pregnancy Related Mortality Review Committee, Ohio Perinatal Quality Collaborative Executive Planning Committee, and the newly formed State of Ohio 'Safe Outcomes for Obstetric and Neonatal Steering Committee. In 2015, she was appointed by Governor Kasich to the state of Ohio's Maternal-Newborn Advisory Council.
