Lynn Erdman, RN, MN, FAAN
Chief Executive Officer
Lynn is responsible for the overall strategic direction, leadership, and day-to-day operations of the association to include staff, the Executive Office, and section and chapter component activities. She is also responsible for facilitating relationships with related groups and representing the association with a variety of external organizations, health care entities, for-profit companies and corporations and the media. Lynn joined AWHONN in 2014 with more than 30 years of experience in the healthcare and nonprofit sectors. She is a highly skilled national leader in the field of nursing and previously held key national leadership positions with three global health organizations: the American Cancer Society, the American College of Surgeons, and the Susan G. Komen Global Headquarters. Lynn has also served in top leadership positions with several hospitals and healthcare systems.
Nancy C. Adkins, PHR
Vice President of Human Resources
Nancy joined AWHONN in 1993 and is responsible for human resource functions including staffing, professional development, training, management development, employee relations, policies and procedures, wage and salary administration and organization development. Nancy has extensive experience in human resources and operations which spans over 30 years.
Jody Hoyos, MHA
Vice President of Member Services & Operations
Jody joined AWHONN in 2003 and manages the association's member services activities, membership processing and delivery of products and services to members and clients and assures organizational activities are coordinated in order to provide high-level customer service and products. Jody has over 15 years of experience in healthcare operations.
Tom Quash, CAE
Vice President of Marketing, Communications & Publications
Tom joined AWHONN in 2009 and directs the marketing efforts of the association; oversees communications and media relations and oversees the publication of all AWHONN periodical publications. Tom has worked in the association sector since 1996.

Elizabeth Rochin, PhD, RN, NE-BC
Vice President of Nursing, Education and Practice
Liz joined AWHONN in 2016 and is responsible for advancing the areas of women’s health, obstetric and neonatal programs for the association. Liz has over 25 years of Women’s and Children’s experience and has devoted her professional career to the care of women and children with roles as a staff nurse, nursing educator and most recently executive leadership. She has presented nationally on patient experience and mentoring new nursing leaders. In 2008, Liz was named to the Great 100 Nurses of North Carolina, and is a member of Sigma Theta Tau. In addition to her clinical work and expertise, Liz has taught at the baccalaureate and graduate levels at East Carolina University College of Nursing. She is board certified as a Nurse Executive by the American Nurses Credentialing Center.
Carol J. Strickland, CAE
Vice President of Finance, Administration & Technology
Carol joined AWHONN in 2004 and is responsible for directing the financial and administrative activities of the association headquarters and as appropriate its components and manages the association's information technology infrastructure. Carol has over 20 years of of experience in the financial arena.
