Application for Scholarship

Nurse in Washington Internship (NIWI)

March 12-14, 2017

About the NIWI Program

AWHONN’s Board of Directors will makeTWO scholarships available for AWHONN members to attend the Nurse in Washington Internship (NIWI) program in the Washington, DC area.  NIWI provides nurses with the opportunity to learn how to influence health care through the legislative process.  This three-day conference will energize and prepare attendees to become actively involved in the health policy process at the local, state and national levels.  For more information about the NIWI program, visit the Nursing Organizations Alliance’s website.

AWHONN member and upcoming Board of Director, Cheryl Larry-Osman, shares her NIWI experience and why nurses must use their voices to advocate for funding and support.
