Postpartum Hemorrhage (PPH) Education Course

(2.25 AWHONN CNE or ACOG CME contact hours and a certificate of completion) Continuing Medical Education credit is provided through joint providership with The American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists.

PPH is one of the leading causes of maternal mortality and morbidity. Antepartum Fetal Assessment Education Module

This online, self-paced Antepartum Fetal Assessment module provides clinical content about the most commonly used methodologies for assessing fetal status prior to the labor experience. The module is intended for clinicians who provide and perform antepartum testing in both inpatient and outpatient settings.

Maternal Fetal Triage Index Educational Module

The Maternal Fetal Triage Index (MFTI) educational module educates perinatal nurses about obstetric triage basics— what triage means in obstetrics, what the nurses’ role is, and how a systematic approach can be beneficial to improve the process of triage and outcomes. This interactive learning module introduces AWHONN’s new Maternal Fetal Triage Index, a five-level acuity classification index, describing how it is used to prioritize a woman’s urgency for provider evaluation. The Perinatal Medication Administration Competence Assessment Tool (ACAT) engages the RN in a professional assessment and development activity that can be used with confidence when assessing the knowledge base of nurses who care for women and newborns. The 57-question test includes multiple-choice and true/false items, clinical calculations, and case studies. This module provides education about the physiologic and anatomic processes of normal labor and birth. Labor support, pain management, and nursing care of the laboring woman will be presented.
