Your browser is out-of-date. Please download one of these up-to-date, free and excellent browsers:
Below are the updated browsers that AWHONN recommends for a safer, faster website experience.
Why do I need an up-to-date browser?
-
Security
Newer browsers protect you better against scams, viruses, trojans, phishing and other threats. They also fix security holes in your current browser!
-
Speed
Every new browser generation improves speed
-
Compatibility
Websites using new technology will be displayed more correctly
-
Comfort & better experience
With new features, extensions and better combustibility, you will have a more comfortable web-experience
"I'm not able to update my browser"
If you can't change your browser because of compatibility issues, think about installing a second browser for browsing and keep the old one for the compatibility.
If you are on a computer that is maintained by an admin and you cannot install a new browser, ask your admin about it.

You can update your
credit card information right online for your auto-renewal or installment
payment options. Please follow the instructions below.
Step 1: Navigate to
Manage Profile
Navigate to your
Manage Profile area upon logging in, and click on the "Membership" or
the "Donation" link beneath the "Invoicing, Payments &
History" header depending on what you need to update.
Step 2: Select "Update Billing
Information"
On the Open (Awaiting
Auto-Bill) transaction line (note you may need to change the drop down to view “Closed”
transactions), select the "Update Billing Information" icon, it is
represented by a credit card.
Step 3: Update Credit Card Information
On the "Update
Payment & Billing Information" page, you can input the updated credit
card and/or billing information and select "Submit Updated
Information" button. NOTE: Most
importantly, there is a payment amount pre-populated that is the remaining
amount of your invoice. Change that amount to the monthly amount so that you
pay only the monthly amount, as it will charge you when you click
"Update".

A few things to check if you don't get it:
- Double check your junk/spam filter to be sure it doesn't get caught in there.
- You may also have to check that the email address in our system is correct. Log in and go to My Profile to see your email.
Where else you can see your downloads:
- Select Manage Profile
- You will see Purchased Downloads at the top

The Journals Have Moved!
AWHONN is excited to announce that our award-winning publications JOGNN and Nursing for Women’s Health have moved to a new publisher, Elsevier Inc.
What this means for you is that you will still get free member access to evidenced-based, key scientific research and riveting industry articles, but in addition you can sign up for alerts for each new issue, download the AWHONN Journals app (Android available now, iOS coming soon), and access both journals and our consumer magazine all at one new publications portal, www.AWHONNjournals.org.
During the publisher change, access to the journals online has been unrestricted; however, as of Monday, April 4, you will need to create your online account with new publisher Elsevier and activate your member-benefit access to both JOGNN and Nursing for Women’s Health.
Here’s how:
- Go to jognn.org (or nwhjournal.org) and click Register ->Register and Claim Your Subscription

- Register for an account. This is an account with publisher Elsevier (not AWHONN), and you will receive a follow-up email from Elsevier confirming your registration. You will need to fill out ALL the fields on the registration page to gain your access.
- You must use the same email you used to register for your AWHONN account to register with Elsevier. You can find that information on your profile page.
- If you do not see the “Register” button and only see “Claim Your Subscription,” then you are already signed in and can click on that to go to the next step in this process.
- On the Claim Online Access page, activate journals access by:
- Checking the box indicating “I receive my subscription through a society membership”
- Entering your AWHONN membership “ID” number in the Account # field + Your Last Name. Please do not use the method mentioned on this page about print labels as this is set up for your AWHONN Membership #. Your membership # can be found by clicking on Membership Info under My Profile on awhonn.org.
- Then click “Activate Claim” and you are done with access to both titles.
(Note: Claiming access on either JOGNN or NWH will automatically provide access to both titles).

Still have questions or need help? Contact Elsevier’s Customer Support. You will need to provide your name and member ID for help with account activation:
JournalsOnlineSupport-usa@elsevier.com or call 800-654-2452 (US and Canada)
eurosupport@Elsevier.com +44 (0) 1865-843177 (Europe)

Our website application uses cutting-edge technologies and the latest web development techniques.
Note that operating system updates may cause browsers to not function properly as well.
In order to utilize all site functions and features, we recommend users follow these minimum requirements to ensure proper functionality:
- Operating Systems - The following operating systems have been tested for compatibility: Windows XP, Windows 2003, Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows 8.1 & Mac OS 10.3. Additional operating systems may function properly however they have not been tested.
- Browsers for MS Windows Users - The following minimum browser versions are suggested: Google Chrome 41, Firefox 36 or Microsoft's Internet Explorer 11. Older versions may be used with reduced functionality. It is also recommended to keep your browsers updated to the latest builds within your version.
- Browsers for Mac Users - We suggest using the latest version of Safari that is available with your Operating System. In addition, Mozilla Firefox 4 or higher for optimal compatibility.
- Security requirements for all browsers Secure portions of the site utilize an SSL with TLS 1.2 encryption. While this is enabled by default for newer browsers older browser versions such as Internet Explorer 8 will need this option enabled.
- Monitor Resolution - A minimum monitor resolution of 1024x768 or higher is recommended to ensure proper website display and menu rendering.
- Monitor Color Depth - We recommend the monitor color depth is set to 16 bit "high color" or greater.
- WYSIWYG Content Editor - For the best compatibility we recommend using using the latest version of the browser as outlined in the sections above.
- Accept Cookies - We strongly recommend the computer accepts cookies for proper functionality. Some site features like the "Remember Me" function require the use of cookies. Note that some desktop security suites will disable JavaScript and cookies.
- JavaScript Enabled - Please ensure the browser allows JavaScript to run. In most instances, this is the default setting when the browser is installed. It is possible to experience issues with certain aspects of the front end of the site if JavaScript is disabled. For instance, the content editor will not function if JavaScript is disabled. Note that some desktop security suites will disable JavaScript and cookies.

If you did not receive your password reset email below are a few steps to take.
1. Check your junk/spam filter. Be sure web@awhonn.org is marked as a safe sender for emails coming to you.
2. If it is not in your junk/spam filter, make sure the email in our system is not another email address you may have like a personal one.
3. If you still cannot find it, it is likely that the email we have in our system is incorrect due to a typo or an old address. Contact us with your new email and we will get that corrected for you.
Note: Passwords are encrypted so we cannot look them up for you, however we can reset them for you. Contact us if you need assistance.

Yes! With our new site, member IDs have been replaced by a new ID. You can find it on your Member Card under Manage Profile. We encourage you to become familiar with your new member ID.
Why the change?
With the new website, we migrated our members to a new membership database that gives us much more capability for our members. With a new database, new identifying numbers are created, giving all members a new member ID.
What happened to the old member IDs?
We can still look up your account using your old member ID. With our new system, we have many other ways we can look up your account as well. On your profile, you will see your old member ID beside Legacy ID.

Connections are much like friends on other social media systems. Once you connect with someone you can get quick access to their profile without having to search for them.
To Connect:
1. Find the member that you'd like to connect to by using the search link in the footer of the website.
2. Once you click on their name and go to their profile, click Connect under their name.
3. You can enter a short message to send with their connection request.
4. The member will receive an email that they have a connection request. The message itself will not be emailed though, just a notification.
Accept/Manage Connections:
1. Log into the website and select Manage Profile.
2. Select Connections and click on Received to see incoming requests. Select to Accept the Connection.
3. To remove and message your connections, go back to Connections and there are options available beside each name.

Well EVERYTHING on AWHONN's web site is your favorite right? But, if you must choose, you can set up a list of website favorites.
Almost every page and tool within the web site, there is a little star at the top right. Clicking on it when gray, you get the option to add it to your favorites. You can name it what you'd like, create a category for it, and select to share it so others can see it, or keep it private.
Like bookmarking, this saves your selections for quick access back to that page. You can manage favorites by selecting Favorites under Manage Profile. There you can choose to share your favorites or keep them private.
What's your favorite page on the web site?
