This program addresses what follows after the Neonatal Resuscitation Program, emphasizing six important areas of concern: Sugar/Safe Care, Temperature, Airway, Blood Pressure, Lab Work, Emotional Support and Quality Improvement.  The mnemonic-based program, developed by Kris Karlsen, PhD, MSN, RNC, NNP, is designed to optimize learning, retention, and recall of information.


Important action items for attendees:

  • This course will be taught using the 6th Edition learner manual.
  • Books may be purchased through the S.T.A.B.L.E. Program website at, or check with your facility for a copy of the book.
  • Your email is necessary in order to send you a pretest that you will need prior to the class.  Please bring the pretest to class with you.
