Delayed Cord Clamping Practice

Hello California AWHONN Nurses,

With the recent updates from AAP, many facilities may be experiencing this addition of practice: delayed cord clamping. If able, please share any procedure or policy creations and share your "lessons learned" with the rest of us Smile  Thank you,

Meggan McGraw

Being in the NICU, I don't know a lot about our practices, but I believe we generally practice delayed cord clamping whenever possible, and are even doing a study comparing delayed cord clamping versus cord milking! Will be interesting to see where this goes. - Sharp Mary Birch, San Diego
