Fee Structure

 

Deadline for registration is April 20, 2017. No refunds. Substitutions will be allowed. If registration fee is being paid by your facility, please allow 4 - 6 weeks for processing payment.

Speakers

 

Sue Dill Calloway, RN, MSN, JD

Sue Dill Calloway is a nurse, attorney, and President of Patient Safety and Healthcare Consulting and Education. Ms. Calloway has legal experience in medical malpractice defense for physicians, nurses and other health professionals.  She is also certified in healthcare risk management by the American Society of Healthcare Risk Managers. Sue provides many educational programs for nurses, physicians, and other health care providers on topics such as nursing law, ethics, and nursing malpractice prevention,


Carol J. Decker – Sepsis Survivor

While pregnant with her second child, Carol was diagnosed with sepsis that would eventually leave her completely blind and a triple amputee. Her attitude and perseverance inspires those around her. Carol is currently completing her first book and speaks to different groups around the U.S.


Sheralyn Kaprolet, RN, BSN, NNP-BC

Sheralyn is a Board Certified Neonatal Nurse Practitioner with a passion for neonatology. She obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in nursing, with a minor in psychology from Arizona State University. She practiced as a neonatal nurse in Arizona for seven years before obtaining her Master of Science degree in Nursing. Sheralyn has been practicing with Mednax, Inc. since 2011, providing care for infants in Arizona.


Sheryl Parfitt, MSN, RNC

Sheryl is the OB Clinical Educator for HonorHealth Medical Centers. She has worked in the field of obstetrics for over 40 years and serves on various committees and boards.  Sheryl enjoys research and has a passion for nursing education.  


Cara Riek, DNP, RN, FNP-BC, IBCLC

Cara graduated from Arizona State University with a Doctorate of Nursing Practice degree.  She is a board certified Family Nurse Practitioner, in addition to having her IBCLC certification.  Cara provides meaningful, evidence-based care to mother-baby dyads and enjoys helping families reach their breastfeeding goals. 


Cheryl Roth, PhD, WHNP-BC, RNC-OB, RNFA

Cheryl is a nurse practitioner for HonorHealth Medical Centers. She is an AWHONN EFM instructor/trainer and recently completed a 2-year term with the National AWHONN Board of Directors. Cheryl strives for excellence in the standards of nursing, and provides leadership that enables nurses to deliver outstanding patient care.

 

Thomas Strong, M.D.

Dr. Strong graduated from the Utah School of Medicine in 1983.  He is a Maternal-Fetal Medicine Specialist with Arizona Perinatal Care Centers in Phoenix, AZ and specializes in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine and Obstetrics & Gynecology.
