Chelsey L. Kennedy, RN, BSN, IBCLC

Chelsey Kennedy was elected Section Chair of the Nebraska Section in 2019. She has over 12 years of nursing experience at different levels including staff nurse, nurse manager and director, and most currently as a nurse educator. Her nursing roles have ranged from medical surgical, surgery/preop/recovery, oncology, clinic, quality, with the majority being obstetrics and neonatal nursing. She has been an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) since 2013 and is currently enrolled in the DNP Women's Health Nurse Practitioner program through the University of Nebraska Medical Center College of Nursing, with an anticipated graduation date of May 2020. With working history from Western Nebraska to Eastern Nebraska, Chelsey looks forward to helping make a positive impact on Nebraska AWHONN.
