Chapter Coordinator

My name is Ashley Locklear and I am the new coordinator for the Midlands Chapter. I was born and raised in Columbia, SC. I graduated nursing school from the University of South Carolina in 2005. While in nursing school I began working at Palmetto Health Richland as a Student Nurse Tech. 13 years later, I am still employed at Palmetto Health Richland and am the Clinical Practice Specialist for Women's and Neonatal Services. In addition, I have been a obstetric clinical instructor for USC-Columbia and Midlands Technical College. I have been an AWHONN member since 2008. I love perinatal nursing and I love AWHONN! It is with great excitement that I begin coordinating this chapter and making it active once again. You can contact me at or (803) 434-6062.

Upcoming Meetings/Events

We had a wonderful Summer 2018 chapter meeting with a nitrous oxide presentation from a local rep.  Nitrous is still in its infancy in South Carolina.  How can we help you and your organization pursue implementation?!
