The application process is now closed for this program. Thank you to everyone who submitted their applications!

Do you want to implement an evidence-based practice (EBP) project in your hospital or practice setting but don’t know where to start?  Are you available to attend a 3-day course February 21-23, 2018 at the University of Iowa to develop advanced skills in navigating the EBP process to grow organizational infrastructure to support evidence-based health care? Once trained, are you committed to implement, evaluate, and sustain EBP changes within your health care system related to the care of women or newborns? If so, we invite you to apply! This training provides a highly interactive, individual and small-group focus with individualized consultation sessions. You will receive a vast array of resources for use and adaptation within your clinical setting. After attending the training you will be expected to implement the project you develop during the training session as well as submit an abstract to present your project at an AWHONN regional or national convention.

To apply you must:

  1. Be an RN employed in practice at least part time (50%).
  2. Have a minimum of a BSN.  Master's or doctoral preparation preferred.
  3. Have a leadership responsibility for evidence-based practice.
  4. Identify a topic/project to work on during the training and complete an application describing your experience with EBP. Click here to access the application.
