Suzanne C. Berry, MBA, CAE

Interim Chief Executive Officer

Suzanne is Principal of Berry and Associates, a consulting firm that provides services in all aspects of association management. She created a practice in Interim C-Suite management and has spent the last several years in various, association C-Suite roles.  Currently, she serves as the Interim CEO for the Association of Women’s Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses. Before this assignment, she was Senior Advisor to the Executive Director overseeing finance and special projects for the International Association for the Study of Pain. Before that, she was a senior strategic advisor to the CEO for the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards. In that capacity she was the Interim Managing Director of the Education and Examination Department and oversaw the Talent and Communications Departments. She has also served as the Interim CEO of the American Diabetes Association.

 

Ms. Berry holds a Master of Business Administration from Northeastern University, Boston, MA.  She is an active member of the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE), a Certified Association Executive, and serves on the ASAE CAE Testing Committee and the ASAE Foundation Development Committee. She is also a member of the National Association of Corporate Directors. 

 

 

 

Jody Hoyos, MHA

Vice President of Member Services & Operations

 

Jody joined AWHONN in 2003 and manages the association's member services activities, membership processing and delivery of products and services to members and clients and assures organizational activities are coordinated in order to provide high-level customer service and products. Jody has over 15 years of experience in healthcare operations.

 

    

 

 

Tom Quash, CAE

Vice President of Marketing, Communications & Publications

 

Tom joined AWHONN in 2009 and today oversees the association’s marketing/communications activities (including digital, social media), hospital product sales (including the best-selling Perinatal and Neonatal Orientation and Education Programs), award-winning scholarly research publications (JOGNN and Nursing for Women’s Health), consumer awareness activities and related resource (Healthy Mom&Baby), media relations and market research and analysis. For the past 15 years, Tom has presented at association and healthcare industry events (American Marketing Association, ASAE Annual Meeting, Perinatal Leadership Forum, etc.), chaired three separate association management volunteer committees and was Board Chair of a small Maryland-based nonprofit, the Metropolitan Center for Assault Prevention. In 2015, Tom authored the marketing and communications chapter in the book Professional Practices in Association Management (ASAE) and that same year received ASAE’s Professional Performance Award, the association industry’s highest honor awarded to a non-CEO. In 2016, Tom was named one of the Washington DC area’s top CMOs (Trending 40).

 

 

 

Elizabeth Rochin, PhD, RN, NE-BC

Vice President of Nursing, Education and Practice

Liz joined AWHONN in 2016 and is responsible for advancing the areas of women’s health, obstetric and neonatal programs for the association.  Liz  has over 25 years of Women’s and Children’s experience and  has devoted her professional career to the care of women and children with roles as a staff nurse, nursing educator and most recently executive leadership. She has presented nationally on patient experience and mentoring new nursing leaders. In 2008, Liz was named to the Great 100 Nurses of North Carolina, and is a member of Sigma Theta Tau. In addition to her clinical work and expertise, Liz has taught at the baccalaureate and graduate levels at East Carolina University College of Nursing. She is board certified as a Nurse Executive by the American Nurses Credentialing Center.   

 

 

 

Jacqueline Rychnovsky, PhD, RN, CPNP, FAANP

Vice President, Research and Policy

Jacque joined AWHONN in 2017 and is responsible for managing research programs and public policy initiatives for the association.  With over 36 years of military and civilian nursing experience in caring for women and children, Jacque is a dedicated clinician, researcher and policy advocate who brings extensive know-how in both bedside and advanced practice nursing, nursing research and healthcare policy development.   During her military nursing career she focused on issues surrounding active duty military mothers and was the Navy representative on the TriService Nursing Research Program Women’s Health Research Interest Group.  After completing a healthcare policy fellowship in the office of Sen. Daniel K. Inouye (D-HI), she served as a nursing policy advisor for the US Navy Surgeon General.  Jacque is a board-certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner, a Fellow in the American Association of Nurse Practitioners, and previously served as a member of JOGNN’s Editorial Advisory Board.
