MFTI Implementation Toolkit

The MFTI Toolkit has the resources that you need to implement the Maternal Fetal Triage Index in your unit.  Hospitals purchasing 10 or more MFTI Education Seats are eligible to purchase additional MFTI Implementation resources to assist you in your MFTI implementation journey.  These resources were developed based upon AWHONN’s work with over 200 hospitals in the MFTI Implementation Communities.

A list of these resources is below:

Introductory Items

  • Terms of use for the MFTI Toolkit: includes discussion of copyright, permission to reprint and liability
  • MFTI Introductory Presentation: covers basic steps to implement the MFTI including organizing your team, collecting baseline data, EMR integration and the MFTI education module
  • MFTI Nurse FAQs: includes answers to clinical questions about the use of the MFTI and logistical questions about the purchase of the MFTI education
  • Sample MFTI Justification Letter: template letter you can use in your institution to gain support for MFTI implementation. This describes the MFTI, it’s ROI for your institution, the cost and how AWHONN supports institutions with implementation
