Position Title: Content Creator
Organization: The Association of Women’s Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses (AWHONN)
Reports to: Marketing and Communications Team
Location: Remote

Purpose of the Role

The Content Creator will help amplify AWHONN’s mission by creating engaging digital content that educates, inspires, and connects with our community. Through storytelling, visuals, and creative media, this role supports outreach, awareness, and community engagement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop creative content for social media platforms, marketing materials, and/or the organization’s website.
  • Draft engaging captions, graphics, or short-form videos that highlight programs, events, and impact stories.
  • Collaborate with staff to brainstorm campaign ideas and translate messaging into accessible, shareable formats.
  • Follow branding guidelines and ensure consistency in tone, style, and messaging.
  • Track content performance (if applicable) and suggest improvements.

Time Commitment

Hours: Approximately five hours per month.
Duration: 1/1/2026-7/1/2026
Schedule: Flexible with deadlines agreed upon in advance.

Requirements

  • Strong storytelling or visual design skills.
  • Familiarity with social media platforms (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, LinkedIn, etc.).
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
  • [Optional] Experience with Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or video editing software.
  • Access to a computer and internet connection.

Training & Support

  • Orientation to AWHONN’s mission, branding, and communication style.
  • Ongoing guidance and mentorship from the Marketing and Communications team.
  • Access to brand assets, templates, and content strategy resources.
