The Association of Women’s Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses (AWHONN) announced today that Immediate Past-President Rebecca Cypher, MSN, PNNP, has resigned from the organization’s board of directors, effective February 25, in order to focus on work life balance.

“On behalf of AWHONN’s Board of Directors, executive team and staff, I’d like to thank Becky for her leadership during a challenging year for healthcare and AWHONN. We appreciate her many contributions to the success of AWHONN and wish her the very best in the future,” said current President Cyndy Krening, MS, CNS, RNC-OB, C-EFM.

Cypher’s responsibilities as chair of the AWHONN Board Nominating Committee will be filled by another volunteer leader. Questions or concerns should be sent to leadership@awhonn.org.
