Are you compassionate, well-organized, calm in a crisis and a critical thinker with good communication skills? Are you thinking about a career in women’s health, obstetric or neonatal nursing? Do you want to be more involved with the professional nursing organization that makes a difference in the lives and is committed to the health of women and newborns?

The Association of Women’s Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses (AWHONN) is seeking 40 student nurses to participate in the American Nurses Association (ANA) infection prevention and control initiatives.

Participants who are select will:

  • Receive a one-year complimentary AWHONN Student membership.
  • Complete four infection prevention and control modules; including a pre and posttest.
  • Attend 6-7 monthly meetings to discuss the initiative, completed modules, and the community project.
  • Create and disseminate a community project related to infection prevention and control (such as through a brief presentation at an AHWONN Chapter meeting).

In March 2022, five participants will be selected to receive a scholarship for registration to the 2022 AWHONN Convention in Denver Colorado in June. The participants will be selected based on an application process.
